My First Encounter

The First Time I Tried Sushi

As a picky eater, I always thought sushi was just raw fish. However, my friends convinced me to give it a try. I timidly took a bite of a California roll and was surprised by the mix of textures and flavors. From that point on, I was eager to try new types of sushi and even ventured to make it at home. It was a small victory for my taste buds and opened up a whole new world of cuisine for me to explore.

My First Solo Backpacking Trip

The thought of heading out into the wilderness alone was daunting, but there was something exhilarating about the challenge. I spent months planning and packing for my trip, trying to anticipate every possible scenario. When I finally hit the trail, I was filled with a mix of nerves and excitement. There were moments of fear and uncertainty, but also moments of sheer awe and wonder as I witnessed nature in all its raw beauty. My first solo backpacking trip taught me that I am capable of tackling challenges on my own and pushed me to explore more of the world on my own terms.

The First Time I Performed on Stage

As a shy and introverted child, the thought of getting up in front of people filled me with dread. But when I found myself entranced by the music in my high school's musical production, I decided to take a chance and audition. To my surprise, I landed a small role and found myself on stage in front of an auditorium full of people. The nerves almost got the best of me, but as soon as the music started, I was transported into the character and the moment. The audience's applause at the end was a rush of euphoria and pride. From that point on, I continued to perform in musical productions and even sang in a band. Performing on stage taught me the power of stepping out of my comfort zone and the rush of connecting with others through art.
